Greenpeace en la Plaza del Pilar

Estimado/a:

Mientras este correo llega a tu bandeja de entrada, activistas de la organización están realizando una acción directa no violenta en la Plaza del Pilar de Zaragoza, para denunciar ante la opinión pública y las autoridades que en Aragón se están fabricando bombas de racimo que podrían ser vendidas a países en conflicto.

Más de cuarenta personas están exhibiendo una pirámide de zapatos en recuerdo de las personas mutiladas por las bombas de racimo que nunca más volverán a usar los suyos, y solicitando que INSTALAZA, una de las empresas españolas que se dedica al negocio de las armas y que tiene su sede social en Zaragoza, deje de fabricar armas de racimo.

Greenpeace demanda al gobierno español la prohibición de fabricación, almacenaje y venta de este tipo de armamento en nuestro país y también trabaja en el ámbito internacional para que se logre un acuerdo que garantice su erradicación.

Las bombas de racimo afectan principalmente a la población civil, ya que el contenedor principal se abre en el aire diseminando una enorme cantidad de bombas que cubren grandes extensiones de terreno de manera indiscriminada. Muchas de estas bombas no explotan al impactar y suponen una amenaza de muerte o mutilación para los civiles durante muchos años, por lo que estas zonas quedan despobladas e inutilizadas.

Brazilian festival in Nijmegen

Buenas a todos!!!!!

Ayer empezo la feria de Albacete, espero que todos los albaceteños hayais salido y la hayais catado en condiciones(o sea, mojitos a tope)

El lunes pasado hubo un festival brasileño en Nijmegen, varios grupos iban tocando por la ciudad, y tb hubo una exhibicion de capoeira(Esta semana la he practicado 2 veces en el sport centre, es flipante la cantidad de deportes que hay para elegir!!!!)os dejo fotos del evento

Hi people!!!! Yesterday Albacete's fair started, so I hope all you have had a good night!!!!! Last monday there was in Nijmegen a brazilian festival, there were some bands playing on the streets, and also capoeira exhibitions(I practiced it twice this week at the sports centre, there are so many available sports there!!!!) so I put some photos of it. This is such a live city!!!!! Next chapter: How to load the bike with the maximum amount of things

Here are some photos of the first days, as always we had dinner very very late, sometimes even other people were sleeping, so this day in particular we had dinner in Lent´s parking so not to bother people sleeping at home.........europeans stared at us with a funny puzzled face, i guess they thought: "What the h*** are this people doing???THEY´RE CRAZY!!!!!!"

Albacete es Feria en septiembre

From 7th to 17th in September, Albacete witnesses a multi-coloured explosion of culture and enjoyment. The population has a five-fold growth during ten days, and people pour out onto the city streets. This is an annual event that, every year, becomes different, arousing the support of the whole region. Our fair is visited by people coming from every part of the country year after year, and later, when they go back home, spread the renown of Albacete, its hospitality, concord and expertise.



Even though the whole city is a fair, the Fair boasts its own precincts, and a passage. About 50,000 m2 are occupied by big tops, stands, stalls, the funfair… hundreds of associations have a space open to public. The precincts where our Fair takes place date back from 1783, being one of the oldest places aimed at trade in Spain. It has the typical architectural features from La Mancha mixed with the modernism of the beginning of this century, and it includes a vast passage, a human tide which never ebbs. Cultural, sportive and social events take place continuously: culinary tastings, book presentations, chess and international tennis championships, “tapas” tours, music festivals, international folklore, meetings of associations, cultural symposiums, firm expos, street markets, contests, exhibitions, etc. There are events for every moment, everybody and every age. The series of activities for everyone's preference and pleasure is immense.



The most important day takes place when the Fair facilities, are opened to public, and the patron saint, the Virgin of The Llanos, is carried from the City Hall to the precincts in an event which draw thousands of citizens and visitors. In spring 2006, Albacete commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the Coronation of its Virgin. The cultural activities started in March 2, with the concert offered by the Albacete Schola Cantorum and Orquesta Siglo XXI. In May, several exhibitions, symposium, and concerts performed by Albacete singers and groups were celebrated: Elisa Belmonte, Andrés Beltrán or Chinchilla's Old Chapel are some examples of these events. During the ten days of fair, the commemorative activities continued.

The whole city is a fair. Our Fair expands and the cultural, social and leisure machinery works faster and better, as can be noticed in public places such as the Caseta de los Jardinillos Garden, the Teatro-Circo and our bullring. You will find these places packed with people. The greatness of our Fair lies on the fact that everybody is welcome to the most important festival in Castilla-La Mancha, which becomes a whirlwind of receptiveness and joy shared by every man and woman in the city. The bullfighting season, so well-known and expected, welcomes Albacete's bullfighting fans and experts coming from everywhere.

Quise irme desde que escuche por primera vez q algo asi existia, tendria 14-15 años...

De pura casualidad, fue de coña. Yo siempre me quise ir a Italia y todos mis destinos eran de Italia menos los dos ultimos. En la misma cola para entregarlo se me fue la olla, lo cambié sobre la marcha y puse Holanda las 2 primeras. La otra era Maastrich y, x supuesto, la puse antes q Nijmegen q no lo habia escuchao en mi vida...Cd me dieron Holanda fui a hablar con mi coordinadora para ver si me lo podian cambiar para Italia jejeje...Como me alegro de q no me dejara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ufff, es dificiii!!! Yo voy a decir dos. Del primer semestre: si bien tiene mucha fama la Spanish Party ( y yo me lo pase de locos...) yo me quedo con la fiesta por el cumple de Noelia&Jorge&Laura y, sobre todo, a partir de las 5 de la mñn cd se acabo la fiesta y los q qedabamos decidimos "hacer el mal": Ger, Gato y todos los dueños de las bicis q colgamos del techo del parking sufrieron nuestras consecuencias jijiji :) Del segundo semestre: clarisimo, prototipo de fiesta erasmus: LA fiesta polaca improvisada q montamos cd vinieron las amigas de Paula, los niños q stuvieron seguro q votan la misma...jejeje

Pufff, solo dire q alguna me decia q era lord lent de la de vueltas y paseos q me daba todo el dia de casa en casa, parriba y pabajo...Sin duda contribuyo a q fuera una de las epocas mas felices de mi vida. VIVA EL BUILDING H COÑO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Del 6 de septiembre q llegue al 15 de junio q m fui fue el mejor momento de mi vida. Los peores son faciles: cd se fue alguna gente del primer semestre y el 14 de junio recogiendo mi cuarto, cada vz mas blanco...menos mal q Carol y Marina me ayudaron jeje ;)

Al principio cuando llegamos a Nijmegen no me enteraba de nada, solo pillaba palabras sueltas. Luego poco a poco (a los 15 días) parece que la cosa mejoro. Y al mes y medio empezé a enterarme de conversaciones entre más de dos personas. Se paciente con tu inglés ...

The first days when I arrived to Nijmegen I didn't understand anything, just some words. Later (after 15 days) the thing improve. And half and a month later I began to understand conversations of more than 2 persons. Be patient with your english ...

Ahora están de semana de introducción los nuevos erasmus en nijmegen, Alex me escribió un mail diciendome sin tiempo, sin tiempo, muchas cosas que hacer

El ISN(International Student Network) esta muy bien, organiza un montón de cosas y así los nuevos erasmus, se conocen, se conocieron y se conocerán ... :D

Consejo : Hay dos semanas de introducción una en agosto y otra en enero (mas corta) TIENES QUE IR IR IR IR, y conocer gente, disfrutar de la cultura holandesa ...

The ISN(International Student Network) is great, they organize a lot of things and the new erasmus meet each others.

Advice : there are an introduction week in august and another in january (shorter than the august one) GO GO GO and meet people, and enjoy the dutch culture ...

Primeros dias/First Days

HOla a todos!!!!!!


Bueno, ya llevamos unos dias por aqui, y voy a resumiros un poquito como va el tema.

De momento nos juntamos para comer y cenar, es mas divertido que cenar solos:P

Este es el grupillo que nos juntamos, que por suerte cada vez es mayor



Yo solo tengo una compañera de piso, faltan dos por venir que supongo que vendran hoy.

Ya hemos comprado todos , o casi todos una bici, y hasta he llevado pasajeros en ella!!!!!!!Aparte claro, de la compra, ya que el super cercano a Lent es mas carillo:(



Anoche salimos por el centro, y los garitos estan bien, la musica es de los 80 pero mola, pq son clasicos muy conocidos, ademas en un bar pusieron la cancion de Benny Hill!!!!!!

Tambien han habido algunos contratiempos, por ejemplo, el otro dia mi colega Carlos y yo fuimos al super deboer a por cerves dado que el super de Lent estaba cerrado, y durante el transporte de latas de cerveza algunas perecieron por el camino ya que al botar la bici se cayeron y una tuvimos que soplarnosla pq perdia gas, que pena eh???

Respecto a la ciudad, es muuuuy bonita, lastima quedentro de un tiempo el clima nos lo va a fastidiar, pues de momento no hace muy mal clima, por suerte.

La gente holandesa es muy amable, yo he preguntado ya varias cosillas y siempre amables, da gusto

Por ultimo, cosas curiosas. La primera, que cobran por ir al water(en el mcdonalds 20 cent). La otra, que hay meaderos para hombres en la calle de los pubs para cuando vas apurado despues de soplar tanta cerveza(Eso que tanta falta hace en españa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Ahora mismo acaba de venir un bus a Lent con nuevos estudiantes, a ver que tal.

Por fin en Lent/Finally in Lent

Bueno, pues despues de un viaje infernal, una espera infernal, y cargar con un equipaje infernal, conseguimos llegar a Lent antesdeayer!!!!!!!!!!!


Al principio nos quedamos un poco plof pq la residencia es un poco mas cutre de lo que esperabamos, pero cuando escuchamos los relatos de una chica que le ha tocado hodgevelt, esto es la gloria. Vimos fotos del estado de limpieza de esa resi y casi nos da algo...estos dutchies......

Nos hemos ido juntando gente, ahora mismo somos un grupillo de 8 españoles, 1 americano, 2 ingleses y un checo.

Por cierto, Gerlaine and Ghislane, las dos chicas del ISN, se han portado genial con nosotros, nos han guiado, nos han dicho que buses coger, donde estaban las tiendas de bicis, etc...

Ayer cruce por primera vez el fucking bridge y me gusto, supongo que por la novedad, en dos meses estare echando pestes de el

Por cierto, el tiempo aqui esta muy loco, lo mismo hace frio que sale el sol que se nubla que vuelve a salir el sol que cae el diluvio universal........

Confirmado, para Lent!

Hola a todos!!!!

Los futuros Nijmegenianos 2007-2008 estamos empezando a recibir confirmaciones del tema de alojamiento para los que lo solicitamos.

A mi me han confirmado que tengo una habitación reservada en Lent, aunque al resto de mis compañeros no les han especificado dónde estarán.

Si podeis escribid en el foro que tenemos en www.erasmusworld.com si os han confirmado alojamiento y si os lo han especificado dónde. La direccion del foro es:

Así podremos empezar a situarnos para realizar alguna quedada y ver asi nuestras primeras impresiones.

A mi me estan creciendo los nervios conforme se acerca el dia de partir, el 15 de agosto por la noche para salir el 16 a las 6:10 de la mañana destino a Amsterdam.

Se aceptan consejos de todo tipo, ya que andamos algo perdidos;)

I´ve been confirmed that I have been reserved a room in the Lent complex, althogh the rest of my mates have not been specified where is the room reserved.
